Catalog description
This course deals with the basic operation, application and programming industrial control system concentrating on industrial microprocessor programmable logic controller (PLC). The course covers historical background, uses of PLCs, product ranges, numbering systems, and logic concepts pertaining to PLCs. It develops an understanding of the PLC central processing unit, input-output systems and peripheral devices. The course provides skills in programming and document on a cross section of industrial PLCs. Much time will be spent in the lab working on different kinds of industrial PLC applications. ~
