This course examines the use and appearance of mathematical principles and structures in art, architecture, sculpture and music throughout the history of the Western world. Topics include the Golden Ratio, the Fibonacci Sequence, linear perspective, two- and three-dimensional geometry, and the arithmetic behind music and music composition. Prerequisite(s): ENG0001 or placement, ENG1020 or ENG1024 , MATH1002 (or higher), sophomore status. Offered at Charlotte, Providence 3 Semester Credits
