Advanced Food Writing: The Food Memoir

This advanced course introduces students to food memoirs for discussion, analysis and evaluation. Students examine the relationship of food to a number of relevant issues (culture, history, politics, family) as described in the food memoir and write about their own food memories and experiences, exploring how those memories and experiences reflect and comment upon culture, society and contemporary issues. Prerequisite(s): ENG2401 or ENG3030 . Offered at Charlotte, Providence 3 Semester Credits
