Honors Advanced Composition: Writing for Inquiry

Catalog description

This advanced Honors course in composition and communication centers on the idea of intellectual inquiry. With a strong foundation in writing and research skills, rhetorical analysis and critical thinking, students in ENG1027 pose questions and explore answers through close reading, research and writing. They examine the issues facing the wider community through multiple perspectives and theoretical approaches, and for a culminating assignment they collaborate in groups to design and execute an original research project. Prerequisite(s): ENG1020 or ENG1024 or English placement, honors status. Offered at Charlotte, Providence 3 Semester Credits
