Advanced Co-Occurring Disorders and Addictions Counseling

Catalog description

This course provides students with an understanding of co-occurring psychiatric and substance abuse disorders. It includes an integrated approach to address the issues accompanying the illness. Emphasis is placed on a variety of theoretical approaches, evidence-based practices, counseling skills, strategies, techniques and procedures for counseling individuals with co-occurring disorders. Prerequisite(s): CSLG5300 , CSLG5400 . Offered at Providence 3 Semester Credits
