Catalog description

This Honors composition course is designed to provide an introduction to college-level writing that focuses on developing proficiency in academic, professional and personal communication as well as understanding the power of writing for self-expression and critical thinking. Students engage in writing experiences that expose them to a variety of genres and rhetorical situations, including analysis and argumentation. Students develop the ability to read and write about multiple perspectives on a variety of topics that teach them to analyze, synthesize and evaluate these topics in ways that promote creative thinking, rhetorical knowledge, academic rigor and readiness for success throughout their academic program.
