Catalog description

This course provides a comprehensive study of computer networks and the technologies that make global connectivity possible. Topics include network protocols, layered architectures, routing algorithms, topologies, and network standards. Students will explore the theory behind network communication while also developing practical skills through programming assignments in encoding, framing, and routing. Emphasis is placed on both the design and implementation of networking algorithms and on giving students hands-on experience with real-world network programming and problem-solving. An additional fee may be associated with this course.
