Ecology and Evolution

Catalog description

This course is a study of the principles of ecology and evolution with an emphasis on the interrelationships between organisms and their biotic and abiotic environments. The concepts and theoretical basis of evolution will be examined, including the processes that drive natural selection, population dynamics, and mechanisms of genetic variation. Three hours lecture-discussion per week. This course meets three hours of the Natural Science with lab requirement of the Core Curriculum. This lecture must be taken with BIO 2181.
