Catalog description

This course is designed for students majoring in Biology and Biochemistry, as well as students in other majors who intend to go to medical school. This course is an introduction to the study of living systems, beginning with the molecules of life, and progressing to the cellular level of organization. Students are exposed to topics including the nature of science, experimental design and inquiry, cell structure, energy processing, biochemistry, genetics, molecular biology, and the integration of the Christian faith and science. Three hours lecture-discussion per week. This course meets the requirements for both the Nursing and Kinesiology majors and three hours of the Natural Science with lab requirement of the Core Curriculum. This lecture must be taken with BIO 1121.
