Catalog description
Designed to develop basic skills in speaking, writing, listening and reading with particular emphasis on conversation. Introduces the rich culture of Japan with the goal of developing students' intercultural knowledge and understanding. Represents the first course in a two-semester sequence designed to introduce students to Japanese. Intended for students with little or no previous Japanese instruction. Lecture: 4 credits (60 contact hours)
