Covers the causes and issues of global economic interdependence, with particular emphasis on cross-cultural implications of globalization. Includes global economic issues such as economic development, global economic governance, changing demographics, health care, world poverty, changing patterns of food production, global energy use, and the economic consequences of global environmental issues. Lecture: 3 credits (45 contact hours).
