Catalog description
Provides hands-on instruction for basic roof design and construction methods used in the construction industry including layout, cutting and installing ceiling joists, rafters, and roof decking materials. Includes layout and installation practices for roof truss systems, job-site safety practices, scaffold and ladder safety, building code requirements, and material estimation related to roof construction. Laboratory: 2 credits (60 contact hours).
