Prerequisites: BIO107, BIO113, VAT101, VAT106, VAT113, VAT114, and VAT199 (all courses must be completed with a grade of "C" or better) and reading proficiency Veterinary Hospital Technology I involves practical applications in medical and surgical nursing, including fluid therapy, pre-surgical preparation, induction and monitoring of anesthesia, surgical assistance, and post-surgical care of animals. An extensive laboratory session is included to practice techniques learned in the classroom. (F)
