Catalog description
Prerequisites: Reading proficiency and admission to the Veterinary Technology program Principles of Clinical Medicine I provides the student with a focus on practical veterinary nursing. Topics include medical terminology, elementary animal care and handling, small animal history and physical exam, small animal preventive health programs, small animal nutrition, small animal behavior, and introductory radiology. A laboratory session for this course provides hands-on animal experience. (F)
