Prerequisite: Reading proficiency Pre-/co-requisite: SWK105 Introduction to Social Work, with a grade of C or better This introductory course involves field experience which, partnered with SWK105, will assist students in gaining knowledge of practice settings in the field of Social Work, and determining whether Social Work is an appropriate career choice for them. Experiential learning will be utilized to enhance students’ knowledge of this field by visiting and discussing varied practice settings. This course includes discussion of ethics, education, practice and theories. Students will complete a criminal background check, and will attend five agency visits. It will be necessary for students to have access to transportation (F, S, D)
