Prerequisites: PNE141 with a grade of "B" or better, successful completion of PNE142, and reading proficiency Corequisite: PNE181 Medical-Surgical Nursing I (MS I) course is designed to assist a beginning nursing student in the care of the client with medical-surgical disorders. Emphasis is placed on the systematic attainment of theoretical knowledge utilizing a holistic approach to the nursing process. Concepts of perioperative care, pain management, fluid and electrolyte imbalances, and acid-base regulation are hematopoietic, and immune system disorders will be explored. (F, S)
