Voice Studio Class

Catalog description

Prerequisite: None Corequisite: MSA171 Voice Lessons I, MSA181 Voice Lessons II, MSA271 Voice Lessons III, or MSA281 Voice Lessons IV Voice Studio is a weekly, required lab/performance class for all students enrolled in Applied Voice Lessons. Each week, students will perform memorized vocal repertoire in front of their peers to gain onstage experience in a positive performance environment, receive constructive criticism related to improving upon the tenets of singing: posture, breath control, tone development, technique and diction, as well as the interpretation of text and acting. Repertoire for Voice Studio will be assigned during Applied Voice Lessons (see applied voice syllabus). Voice Studio is only for students enrolled in Applied Voice Lessons, and is required for students enrolled in Applied Voice Lessons I, II, III, and IV. (F,S)
