Catalog description

Prerequisites: Admission to the Law Enforcement Academy and reading proficiency Firearms for Law Enforcement II covers advanced training devoted to safe gun handling, legal aspects of firearms, fundamentals of marksmanship, and shooting stance/loading/dry firing. Introduction, skill development and qualification with the shotgun, stress combat courses and shooting decisions. Training also includes night (low-light) shooting with the handgun and shotgun. This coursework uses the current Missouri Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) curriculum and objectives. (D)
