Catalog description

Prerequisite: Reading proficiency Terrorism studies sophisticated theories by the best terrorist analysts in the world, while still focusing on the domestic and international threats of terrorism and the basic security issues surrounding terrorism today. This course includes a historical overview of terrorism including the formation of terrorist groups throughout history including the Assassins, Hezbollah, IRA, and al Qaeda. There will be a detailed examination of strategic planning and decision making as it relates to Fourth Generation Warfare, strategic threats in the post-9/11 world, and its effects on the Criminal Justice profession.
