Prerequisite: None Structured and Supported Introduction to College is designed for students who require additional time, structure, and support to transition successfully into college-level academics. Designed for targeted support populations, this course emphasizes time management, goal setting, personal responsibility, and effective communication to help students balance academic and personal demands. Students engage with key campus resources, departments, and staff dedicated to academic success. They also develop essential academic skills such as note-taking, test-taking, decision-making, and studying. In addition, students learn to utilize essential tools such as the library, technology, and the online learning system (LMS) to enhance their information literacy. The course encourages students to reflect on their personal goals, career interests, and strategies for growth both inside and outside the classroom. This course places special emphasis on extended, guided support tailored to targeted student populations who benefit from a more intentional and structured academic experience.
