Catalog description

Pre-/corequisite: Reading proficiency Introduction to Adobe Illustrator introduces students to the fundamentals of Adobe Illustrator, the industry-standard vector graphics program. Through guided projects and creative exercises, students will explore Illustrator’s tools for drawing, editing paths, working with type, applying color, and organizing designs. Emphasis will be placed on understanding the difference between vector and raster graphics, mastering Illustrator’s workspace, and developing design workflows for both digital and print applications. By the end of the course, students will have gained proficiency in creating vector-based graphics. Students who complete the course will be eligible to take the Adobe Certified Professional Exam in Illustrator, an industry-recognized certificate exam, and can become certified in Adobe Illustrator.(S,O)
