Catalog description

This course offers an introduction to the medical field through a community-based learning model. Emphasis is placed on communication within the medical field and the translation of medical language for lay audiences. Primary topics include the roles of the practitioner and audience in medical communication, power relationships among clinicians and patients, and the creation of medical documents, including reports, proposals and technical articles.
