Writing in the Community

Catalog description

This course offers an introduction to political and social engagement at the community level using multiple texts and a community-based learning model. Emphasis is placed on writing, reflection and hands-on service projects with community agencies. Primary topics include an examination of the central role of rhetoric in citizenship, leadership, social justice and social change.
