Rhetorical Analysis and Criticism

Catalog description

This course is a survey and application of a range of rhetorical approaches to analyze print, oral, visual and multimodal forms of everyday communicative practices. Primary topics include the origins of rhetoric, the manifestations of contemporary forms of communication, the rhetorical theories used to explain those forms, and the criticisms developed to respond to them.
