Translation Strategies

Catalog description

This course discusses aspects of translation theory such as skopos, translation loss, translation gain and language bias. Students learn several translation strategies at the phrase and sentence levels and practice these strategies thoroughly before investigating terminology, terminology mining and terminology management. Instruction is in English and Spanish.
