Catalog description
This class examines popular culture in Spanish-speaking cultures in a variety of forms and media: history, politics, literature, sport, music, cinema, fashion, comics and media. By focusing on pop culture and different media, this course teaches the critical analysis of textual and visual imagery in their historical and cultural context. Students will be able to learn the main pop culture references that are recognized nationally and internationally. Instruction is in Spanish.
