Catalog description
An examination of social policies and responses to aging persons from historical and current perspectives in the United States. A survey of programs and services developed for older adults in the public and private sectors at individual, group, and community levels is examined, with consideration of professional skills, competencies, and credentials necessary for ethical and competent program implementation. Engaged learning through observations and participation in local programs serving older adults is required.
