Catalog description
This course introduces students to qualitative research methods, including participant observation, interviewing, and content analysis. Students will read examples of qualitative sociology and learn how to design and conduct a qualitative research study. In addition to reviewing methodological, theoretical, and ethical issues, students will produce an independent qualitative research project.
