Catalog description

This course provides a systematic introduction to various modes of sociological investigation, including positivism, interpretivism and critical analysis. Students learn to evaluate, critique and design original sociological inquiries with special attention to how sociological inquiry is guided by different philosophical and theoretical commitments.
