This course is a study of the media's role in the political system, concentrating on the dynamic and interdependent relationships among journalists, politicians, the public and public policy. The course explores media and politics theories; how media practices and technologies shape political decision making; how political forces influence media institutions; and how public opinion and media narratives are shaped.
