Catalog description

This course covers special issues of contemporary media and their contents. Emphasis is placed on the analysis of emerging issues in content production, reception and media effects. Focus is on the critical methods used to examine such issues. Consideration will be given to how particular methods may be applied in international as well as American media contexts.
