This course is the study and practice of the fundamentals of news writing, including news-gathering techniques and news style. Emphasis is placed on coverage of meetings, events and breaking stories. Consideration of writing across platforms including print, broadcast and online. Fulfills the College of Arts and Letters writing-intensive requirement for the major.
