This course offers an introduction to the study of communication in health and illness contexts. It covers the impact of interpersonal relationships, sociocultural and organizational influences, and media and health campaigns on health beliefs and behaviors. Emphasis is placed on strategies and approaches that promote effective communication in a variety of health contexts.
