Catalog description
This course explores the rhetorical dimension of communication practices and texts found in British popular culture. Emphasizing critical analysis, students will examine how issues of diversity are communicated, represented and contested across British media such as television, film, music and digital platforms. The course examines how strategic communication choices construct cultural narratives in a diverse, multicultural world. Emphasis is placed on critical thinking and self-reflexivity.
