Catalog description

This course provides an introduction to the fundamental theoretical perspectives in interpersonal communication. Emphasis is placed on the effects of verbal and nonverbal messages on continuity and change in personal relationships. Students consider the influence of cultural and social contexts on messages in relationships and develop their communication competence in diverse interpersonal contexts.
