Catalog description

This course explores advanced knowledge and skills related to addressing the psychological needs of clients facing chronic stress and trauma through deep exploration of trauma informed counseling research and practices. This course examines environmental, physiological and historical factors contributing to trauma and resilience, and evidence-based approaches to treating trauma. It also focuses on counseling, supervision, pedagogy and research in counselor education as it relates to trauma informed practices.
