Performance Assessment

Catalog description

The optimal use of tools that assess products and processes is explored within a variety of assessment contexts. This course focuses on the design, development and implementation of performance-based assessments. Task design and analysis, rubric development and use, interrater agreement and reliability, and the use of standards are covered as well as contemporary criticism of such practices. Particular emphasis is given to validity issues throughout the course.
