Catalog description

This course offers practical preparation for students admitted to Washington Semester internships. Students learn how to improve and tailor resumes and cover letters, articulate skills and interests, interview effectively, and network professionally. The course introduces D.C.'s internship landscape, search tools and timelines, and professional norms. Assignments include a targeted resume, cover letter(s), references list, LinkedIn profile refinement, writing sample selection and a curated list of internships with a search plan. Permission of the instructor is required for enrollment.
