Catalog description

This class will explore housing law and policy. Topics include private landlord tenant laws, public and other federally subsidized housing, fair housing and the history of racial segregation, fair housing and the accommodation of physical and mental disabilities, tenant screening and evictions based upon criminal records, domestic violence and housing, sub-prime mortgage lending, foreclosures, manufactured-homes, the eviction crisis, and trends to create more affordable housing.
