Catalog description

This course introduces beginning physics majors to the study of physics in the department of Physics and Astronomy. Students become acquainted with current research topics in physics and astronomy. The course includes an overview of library methods and programming skills used during physics course work. Students engage in dialogues regarding diversity, equity and inclusion within the physics community and the evolving relationship between physicists and society.
