This course provides a historical perspective on school-based practice including policies, laws and regulations at the federal, state and local levels that influence access to educational and social participation opportunities in early intervention and schools for children from birth to 21 years of age. The occupational therapy scope of practice within intra-, inter- and transdisciplinary teams is examined.
