Catalog description

This course prepares advanced nursing students to integrate theories and principles of teaching and learning into clinical education settings. Emphasis is placed on designing and evaluating evidence-based, person-centered educational strategies for patients, families and the interdisciplinary healthcare team that promote quality, safety and equity in health care. Students will apply instructional technologies, develop interprofessional educational plans and assess outcomes of hypothetical interventions to enhance system improvement. Learners will cultivate their professional identity as nurse educators and collaborative healthcare leaders.
