Power-based Personal Violence

Catalog description
This course introduces students to the roots of violence, including the political, cultural, social and economic structures that perpetuate violence, and explores approaches to changing those structures in order to reduce or end violence. Students will think critically about the local and global impact of violence and how it intersects with other forms of oppression, and they will achieve an understanding of these issues that will be useful intellectually and personally.
