Care and Consideration for Children and Young Adults with Disabilities

Catalog description

Open to students from any major. Students gain insight into the lives of children and young adults with disabilities, discuss how having dependents with disabilities affects the entire family, and provide care for children/young adults with disabilities. Disabling conditions will be investigated. Learning activities include service learning through caring for a child/young adult with disabilities, guest speakers and discussion. Students must provide their own transportation to service-learning sites off campus.
