Catalog description

Non-communicable diseases (NCDs/ a.k.a. chronic illnesses) are universal. The course provides students with an introduction to global health care systems models, and concepts and their influence on health disparities and delivery of healthcare, focusing on NCDs. Additionally, students will examine ways that nurses and nursing can meet the challenges of addressing NCDs at a global level.
