Catalog description

In this course, students develop performance skills through the introduction and application of acting and movement techniques in opera. Beginning with the exploration of various methods and pedagogies, students will work both individually and as a class to build their own acting technique which can be applied to any theatrical setting. Classroom work will consist of ensemble building, character development, staged presentations, stylistic exploration, period movement and creative exercises.
