Catalog description

Designed for graduate D.M.A. and M.M. vocal students, conductors and collaborative pianists, with a specific focus on teaching diction to undergraduate students. This course refines written and sung diction skills through a combined lecture and laboratory approach. Topics covered include: International Phonetic Alphabet review, singing of foreign language songs, review of diction texts and the pedagogy of diction.
