Catalog description

Data and AI for Defense/Diplomacy is a project-based course that tackles mission-driven real world problems from the Departments of State and Defense, the intelligence community and other federal departments and agencies. Students use the Lean Launch Pad Methodology, mathematical modeling, operations research, data science and AI to develop implementable minimal viable products and potential solutions. The course provides students the opportunity to address critical problems facing the U.S. government today, addressing current national security and foreign policy problems. Students engage with stakeholders from a range of government agencies, academia and industry.
