Catalog description

This is an advanced course in exercise physiology that examines the acute responses and chronic adaptations of metabolic systems with exercise. This course will examine topics including the biochemistry of energy supply, metabolic responses to exercise and adaptations to training and how various factors (such as nutrition) can influence these responses/adaptations. Emphasis will be placed on the mechanisms underlying metabolic responses/adaptations to exercise and on the metabolic determinants of human physical performance.
