Catalog description

In this course, translation will be practiced as the 5th foreign language skill and will also be used as a pedagogic tool in language learning. A general and brief theoretical study will provide students with an understanding of what is involved in the translation process. The main focus of the course will be practical, from a brief review of the main translation strategies to the practice of different types of translation. Students learn how to use the main translation strategies, different types of translations and interpretation, and translation to develop and improve linguistic and cultural competences in Italian.
